During their initial consultation, Katie and Devin mentioned they were interested in shooting their engagement sitting around downtown Missoula and on the University of Montana campus. The couple wanted some pictures to represent where they first met each other and also wanted to incorporate some of the old brick and interesting textures found hidden around downtown Missoula.

Pin your boutonniere to your left lapel.

The most common question the Falling Leaf team hears when the boutonnieres are unleashed from their boxes is: “Where do we put this?” If you’re planning on sticking to tradition, plan on sticking the boutonniere onto the left jacket lapel about 3-4 inches from the tip of the left shoulder.

Random fact: A couple centuries back it was common for high-class gentlemen to wear a suit designed to support a vase that kept the boutonniere fresh throughout the day.
